ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's women's tennis team has just six dual-matches left in the regular season, and it will cut that schedule in half this week with three matches on the docket. The Knights will travel to North Florida Wednesday at 2 p.m. before hosting No. 33 SMU Saturday at 11 a.m. and Memphis Sunday at 11 a.m.
The meetings with the Mustangs and Tigers will conclude the regular-season home schedule for the Black and Gold. Against SMU, UCF will be hosting USTA Campus Kids' Day with free food, refreshments, admission and prizes for all attending. Campus Kids' Day is designed to expose current and aspiring junior players to college tennis across the nation.
When the Knights host Memphis, the first 50 fans in attendance will receive a free UCF koozie.
Currently, UCF owns a 7-6 record and is coming off a 5-2 victory at East Carolina last weekend. Freshman Josephine Haraldson continues to pace the Knights with a 14-9 singles record.
North Florida sits at 11-3 on the year with victories in its last five outings. SMU, meanwhile has faced 10 ranked teams in 2011 and carries a 13-4 record overall, and Memphis is 11-6 thanks to a seven-match winning streak from March 5-25.
UCF also will be hosting the C-USA Women's Tennis Championship April 21-24 at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, and admission will be free for all fans.
