ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With only two home matches left in the regular season, the UCF women's tennis team announced that it has been chosen to participate in one of the United States Tennis Association Campus Kids' Days this year. The exciting event will take place Saturday, April 2, against SMU with the match set to begin at 11 a.m.
Campus Kids' Days are designed to expose current and aspiring junior players to college tennis across the nation. They help build stronger ties between college programs, their USTA section and local tennis community.
Food and refreshments will be provided for all attending, and fans will be encouraged to participate in promotional activities such as contests and autograph signings.
Attendance, food, refreshments and promotions at the UCF Tennis Complex are all free, and UCF Silly Bandz will be given out to the first 50 kids.
For additional information, please contact James Gilmore in the UCF sports marketing office at Gilmore.L.James@gmail.com.
A day after taking on the Mustangs, the Knights will host Memphis Sunday, April 3, at 11 a.m., and the first 50 fans will receive a free UCF koozie.
This weekend, the Knights are on the road and will clash with East Carolina Saturday at 10 a.m. and UNC-Wilmington (in Cary, N.C.) Sunday at 11 a.m.
UCF also will be hosting the C-USA Women's Tennis Championship April 21-24 at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, and admission will be free for all fans.
