ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Continuing a strong start to his UCF golf career, freshman Greg Eason (Leicester, England) was named C-USA Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, on Wednesday. He led UCF to a fourth-place finish at the John Hayt Invitational, tying for sixth individually. Eason finished 1-under 215 for the tournament.
The competitive 15-team tournament included nine of the nation's top 50 collegiate golf teams, one of which was No. 2 Florida. In his final round, Eason shot 2-under 70. Eason shot a 72 in his opening round, and followed with a 1-over 73, in his second round. This was Eason's third top-10 performance this season, and second in as many events in the spring.
The Knights will return to action this Friday, March 4, when play begins at the USF Invitational.
