ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Due to an oversight in scoring at the 2011 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championship meet three weeks ago, there was error in the announcement of the Female Freshman of the Meet. UCF's Aurieyall Scott has been determined to be the true recipient of the award with 16 points.

Scott, who helped lead the Knights to their first C-USA indoor championship in program history, earned the league title in the 60 meters with an NCAA automatic qualifying time and a then school record of 7.24 in the finals. She also posted the fastest qualifying time in the event with a 7.27 in the preliminaries.

The first-year Knight placed third in the 200-meter finals in 23.93 to earn another six points to round out her weekend at Bill Yeoman Fieldhouse at Houston.

Scott and the rest the Knights are now preparing for the 2011 outdoor season which begins this weekend at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge on Saturday, March 19.
