ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 2 seeded UCF women's basketball team will begin its pursuit of a second Conference USA Championship in the last three years when it takes to the floor of UTEP's Memorial Gym Thursday at 2 p.m. EST in El Paso, Texas. Conference USA released the complete bracket Saturday evening following the conclusion of the final regular season game between Houston and Tulane.
The Knights will take on the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between No. 7 UAB and No. 10 Marshall. UCF swept both opponents this season.
The first and quarterfinal round of the women's championship will take place at Memorial Gym before moving over to the Don Haskins Center for the semifinals and finals on Friday and Saturday. The Don Haskins Center will host the entire men's tournament before also playing host to the women's final two rounds.
UCF earned its highest seeding since joining C-USA for the 2005-06 season, finishing the regular season second in the league standings at 12-4. The Knights are currently on their longest winning streak in seven seasons, having won their last eight contests.
The winners of Thursday's quarterfinals will play their semifinals Friday morning at the Don Haskins Center with start times scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. EST. UCF's side of the bracket would play in the earlier game on Friday. The conference championship game is set for 8 p.m. EST on Saturday.
Both Friday's semifinal matchups and Saturday's league title game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports.
