ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - A week off gave the UCF women's basketball team some time to rest before Sunday's Conference USA matchup with Tulsa. The Knights (11-10, 4-4 C-USA) will travel to northeastern Oklahoma to play the Golden Hurricane (5-10, 1-6 C-USA) Sunday at the Reynolds Center at 2 p.m. EST.

The league schedule allows for one day off throughout the season with UCF's break coming this past week with no game Thursday. Instead, the Knights used the extra time off to prepare for Tulsa following a loss last Sunday at ECU.

UCF has dropped two straight and four of its last five, but will look to snap that streak against the Golden Hurricane.

Tulsa also enjoyed a week off. But unlike the Knights, it was an unscheduled respite from conference play. A winter storm across the area forced Thursday's game between the Golden Hurricane and Memphis to be rescheduled for Tuesday night. Tulsa has already played a league-low 15 games this season, having only played seven contests against non-conference opponents prior to the start of conference play. The team is currently 11th in the C-USA standings at 1-6 and are just 5-10 overall this season.

The Knights will return home following Sunday's game for a Thursday night tilt against UTEP. The two teams are scheduled to tip-off from the UCF Arena at 7 p.m.

Don't miss out on another exciting UCF women's basketball game this season as affordable single-game tickets for remaining home games are available right now. Tickets start at $2 for youth and seniors, $5 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000.

Sunday's Game
The Knights enter Sunday's game having had a week off after a seven-point loss, 65-58, at ECU in their most recent game. UCF has dropped its last two and four of its last five heading into the matchup with Tulsa. A 28-point win over Marshall on Jan. 23 is the only victory for the Knights since Jan. 23 when the team defeated UAB to move to 3-0 in league play.

Scouting the Golden Hurricane
Tulsa sits 11th in the league standings with a 1-6 record and has played just 15 overall games this season, five fewer than any other team in the league. The team is 5-10 in those games with wins over Oral Roberts, North Texas and Stephen F. Austin. Taleya Mayberry's 16.3 points per game lead the team and rank third in the league through Feb. 2. Denise Lewis is the team's leading rebounder and is 14th in the league at 6.5 boards a game.

All-Time Series
UCF leads the all-time series, 3-2. In Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane has taken two of the three meetings between the two schools. The Knights dropped the first two meetings on the road, but narrowly edged out a one-point victory, 50-49, last season.

On the Air
The rest of the UCF women's basketball season will be broadcast through Genesis Communications and can be heard on either WAMT 1190 AM or WHOO ESPN 1080 AM. Scott Adams will have the call live from Tulsa, on Sunday and for the rest of the season.

Standout
D'Nay Daniels once again led the Knights with 16 points and nine rebounds at ECU; both game highs. The senior forward shot 8-of-14 from the floor and played a game-high 33 minutes in the loss.

Follow Up Showing
One game after scoring a career-high 22 points against Houston, sophomore Gevenia Carter shot 4-of-7 from the field for nine points against the Pirates. The nine points were second to Daniels on the Knights in scoring.

Late Wait
Senior guard Chelsie Wiley had one of the toughest shooting performances of her career in Greenville. Wiley was just 1-for-14 from the floor in the game, with her only field goal coming from three-point range with 1:54 remaining. Wiley finished with eight points in the game after going 5-of-8 from the free-throw line in the second half.

Set in Stone
When the Knights outshoot an opponent this season the team has a perfect 11-0 record. However, UCF is 0-10 when the opposition has a higher field-goal percentage.

40 Plus
The Knights pulled down 41 rebounds against ECU. It marked the second straight game and the 13th time this season that UCF had 40 or more rebounds. The Knights have outrebounded their opponents in 11 of those 13 contests.

Controlling the Turnovers UCF has had fewer turnovers than its opponents in its last nine games. The last time that the Knights turned the ball over more than the other team was on Dec. 29 at home against Tennessee Tech in a 79-69 win.

Close Losses
Just three times this season have the Knights lost by double figures. Seven of UCF's 10 losses this season have come by single digits, including its last two contests to Houston and at ECU. In both those games, the Knights trailed by at least 13 points before cutting into the deficits with late comeback attempts.

20 and Up
In the last five games, UCF has at least 20 field goals. This season, the Knights have connected on at least 20 field goals in 19 games. In each of the three games in which the team did not reach that mark, it connected on 19 field goals.

Coaching Circle
When current UCF head coach Joi Williams left Florida in 2002 to go to Clemson, current Tulsa head coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson joined the Gators' staff as an assistant. After three seasons as the head coach of St. John's, Thomas-Swinson moved to Gainesville, while Williams coached one year at Clemson before becoming the head coach at Murray State for four seasons. Williams became the Knights' coach in 2007 and is in her fourth season leading UCF.
