ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - A week after its 7-0 victory over Bethune-Cookman, the UCF women's tennis team is set to travel to Alabama this weekend. The Knights (2-1) will face No. 42 Alabama Saturday at 2 p.m. and UAB Sunday at 12 p.m.
In the win over B-CU, sophomore Jenna Doerfler did not give up a game in her doubles or singles matches. Doerfler's singles victory moved her record to 7-8 overall.
UCF saw Alabama (3-1) earlier this year at the FSU Quad Tournament, but this will be the first time these two teams will meet in dual-match competition. Alabama has collected wins over Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Tulane with its only loss coming from Baylor.
Last season the Knights walked away with a 5-2 victory over UAB moving them to an overall record of 4-1 in the series against the Blazers. UAB is 1-0 with a win over Belmont and will face North Alabama Thursday.
