SEBRING, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Freshman Kaitlyn Price (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) led the way for UCF as the women's golf team had a trio of representatives in action amongst the elite amateurs competing this past weekend at the Harder Hall Women's Invitational at the Harder Hall Country Club in Sebring, Fla.
Freshman Isabelle Bachtiar (Karlstad, Sweden) and sophomore Sunny Harris (Pensacola, Fla.) also represented the Knights in the tune-up event.
Price placed fifth in Flight 1 with a 72-hole score of 308 (75-80-78-75). Bachtiar and Harris both competed in Flight 3. Harris carded a 340 (85-83-89-83) while Bachtiar turned in a 343 (84-84-87-88).
Bachtiar played for UCF in a pair of events during her freshman fall, competing at both the Labor Day Shootout and the Alamo Invitational. She had an accomplished junior career in Europe, playing in events like the Swedish Amateur Championship, Italy Open and Annika Cup. Harris showed great improvement this past fall as a sophomore, peaking with a second round 74 at the Cougar Classic outside of Charleston, S.C. She also played for the Knights at the Windy City Collegiate at the Labor Day Shootout where she was 18th overall. Price proved to be UCF's top shooter this past fall with a 76.9 stroke average. She was UCF's top finisher at both the Windy City Collegiate and the Alamo Invitational.
UCF as a team returns to action on Jan. 29 when the Knights face Kent State in a warm-up for the team's lone home event of the year, the UCF Challenge from Feb. 13-15 at RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento.
