ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Season tickets for the 2011 UCF softball season are now on sale. With 33 games slated to be played at the UCF Softball Complex this year, which includes a contest against in-state rival Florida State, season-ticket holders will have no shortage of exciting matchups and fun-filled promotions. Opening day is only three weeks away.

Season tickets for the 2011 season are only $40 and are now available for purchase online at UCFAthletics.com and Ticketmaster.com, or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000.

The Knights open their home schedule Feb. 16 when North Florida makes the short trip to Orlando. UCF head football coach George O'Leary will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the contest, while the first 100 fans through the gate will receive a signed 2011 UCF softball schedule poster.

This year's tilt also includes games against Notre Dame, Michigan, Virginia Tech and North Carolina, among others, in non-conference action.

Another highlight of this year's slate is a stretch of 17-straight games, including two of UCF's three home tournaments, at the UCF Softball Complex during February and March.

In Conference USA play, the Black and Gold will face some of the league's top squads on its home turf, hosting UTEP, UAB, Marshall and Southern Miss.

Single-game tickets for the 2011 season will soon be made available, with adult tickets priced at $5, UCF faculty/staff, senior and youth tickets priced at $2 and group tickets (20 or more) priced at $3.

Birthday party and Field of Dreams packages are also available for the season. For more information on these special packages, visit UCFAthletics.com or call the Athletics Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000.

UCF returns eight letterwinners, including four All-C-USA honorees, from 2010, while also welcoming eight fresh faces to the squad for the 2011 season.
