ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Celebrating the start of the 2011 baseball season, the UCF Baseball Fan Fest Presented by B2 Café is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 29, at 5:30 p.m. prior to the men's basketball game vs. UAB at 7 p.m. Fan Fest, which drew close to 1,000 supporters last year, will take place at The Venue and feature B2 Café's signature line of sandwiches, giveaways, posters and autographs.
While the event is free to everyone, for just $5 a ticket fans will be able to grab a B2 Café meal and be eligible to win exciting prizes. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased in advance by calling the UCF Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000, clicking on UCFAthletics.com, or by visiting the ticket window prior to UCF basketball games.
UCF Baseball Fan Fest presented by B2 Café will wrap up at approximately 6:30 p.m. to allow fans to head over to the UCF Arena for the Knights' clash with the Blazers.
Earlier in the day, the Knights will practice at the baseball complex from 12-4 p.m. which will include an intrasquad scrimmage. It will be the second team practice of the spring as they will kickoff preseason camp Friday, Jan. 28, at 2:30 p.m. Fans are invited to attend practices leading up to Opening Day Feb. 18.
For those attending the team practice and Fan Fest activities, complimentary parking is available in Lot E8 located off of Orion Blvd, north of Bright House Networks Stadium. All other campus garages and lots will be operating under basketball game-day operations ($5 per vehicle).
