ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF track & field head coach Caryl Smith Gilbert and the rest her staff will hold a coaching clinic on Feb. 4. The event is open to high school and middle school coaches and will take place in the track meeting room inside the UCF Arena from 5 to 8 p.m.

The cost of the clinic is just $50 per coach and will include: practice planning, speed development and technique, long and triple jump technique as well as shot put technique. Food will be provided for those in attendance.

"I am looking forward to speaking with local track coaches," Smith Gilbert said. "I am always happy to help the sport grow and I know that by helping these coaches develop, we are also helping the kids they coach get better too."

Joining Smith Gilbert will be assistant coaches Jeff Chakouian and Paul Brown. Chakouian oversees the Knights' throwers, while Brown works closely with distance runners, including the cross country team.
