ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF men's basketball head coach Donnie Jones and sophomore guard Marcus Jordan (Chicago, Ill.) will appear on "First Take" on ESPN2 Monday morning to talk about the No. 19/18 Knights' incredible start to the season. The pair will appear on the program around 10:50 a.m.
In Jones' first year in Orlando, UCF is off to 14-1 start to the campaign and is ranked in the top 20 in both national polls. The Knights posted impressive non-league victories over No. 16 Florida, Miami and USF. The team's 14-game winning streak to start the year matched the top streak for the Knights since the program moved to Division I in 1984.
When UCF entered the Associated Press Top 25 on Dec. 20, it marked the first time in school history that the Knights were ranked. Jordan is a big reason for the team's success as he leads UCF in scoring at 16.3 points per game and is also second on the squad with 47 assists.
UCF will return to action Saturday at Southern Miss. The team's next game at the UCF Arena is Jan. 19 against East Carolina.
