ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Monday, the UCF men's basketball team moved to 18th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, and remained No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25. The Knights, who finished non-league play unbeaten at 13-0, will open Conference USA action on Wednesday, hosting Marshall at the UCF Arena.
UCF originally entered the AP Top 25 at No. 24 on Dec. 20. That ranking was the first in school history for the Knights. Last week, UCF moved to No. 19 in the poll, and entered the coaches poll at No. 21.
Head coach Donnie Jones' Knights are one of only seven undefeated teams in the nation. Last week, UCF picked up a pair of impressive wins to claim the UCF Holiday Classic presented by EA Sports title. The Knights' topped a Furman squad that was coming off of a 16-point victory over South Carolina, and then snapped Princeton's eight-game winning streak.
Tipoff for the contest against Marshall is set for 7 p.m. The game is the first of 16 C-USA tilts for the Knights.
A special UCF-Conference USA ticket pack is now available. The pack allows fans to grab a lower level ticket to watch the Knights play their eight C-USA home games for only $96, offering a $24 savings over single-game prices. Packages are also available for $80 for upper level seating. To order the pack today, visit UCFAthletics.com or call (407) UCF-1000.
Kids 14 and under will be admitted free to the Marshall contest with a paying adult.
