ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Our Conference USA Champion UCF Knights have a truly special opportunity on New Year's Eve to make history, and the team needs you! UCF is asking all of its alumni, donors, fans and supporters to purchase an additional two or more bowl tickets to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl with those donated tickets being distributed to families staying at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Your nationally-ranked Knights will face a tough University of Georgia team in the 52nd Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl at 3:30 p.m. EST on December 31.

For more information on participating further in this special event, please click here.

The Knights are ranked No. 24 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll and No, 25 in the final BCS standings on the strength of a 10-3 record in 2010 and their second C-USA championship in four years. In addition to a team which tops C-USA in four of the five major defensive categories (rushing, scoring, total and passing efficiency defense), the Knights have excelled as individuals as well. True freshman quarterback Jeff Godfrey stands eighth in the nation with his 165.28 efficiency rating and stands in the company of America's elite signal callers in this regard. Quincy McDuffie is second nationally in kickoff returns and Josh Robinson has moved up to fifth nationally in punt returns.
