ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's unbeaten start to the season and rise in the rankings has brought plenty of national attention for the Knights. But as No. 19/21 UCF prepares to host Furman Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the UCF Arena to open the UCF Holiday Classic presented by EA Sports, a pair of articles from two local papers deserve some notice.

Florida Today's Carl Kotola has a story in Wednesday's edition that previews the holiday tournament, which also features Northeastern and Princeton, and details how UCF is off to an 11-0 start under new head coach Donnie Jones.

In the Orlando Sentinel, Brendan Sonnone writes about the impact that senior center Tom Herzog (Flint, Mich.) has made since transferring to UCF from Michigan State. The 7-footer ranks 11th in the country in blocks per game at 3.0.

UCF students are admitted free to all home games with a valid school ID. The event will conclude Thursday with the consolation game at 5 p.m., and the championship at 7:30 p.m.

With UCF's league slate quickly approaching, a special UCF-Conference USA ticket pack is now available.
