ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - As the 24th-ranked Knights keep winning, the list of unbeaten teams keeps getting smaller. Off to an 11-0 start under new head coach Donnie Jones, UCF is one of just eight undefeated squads in the country.
Playing the first game as a nationally-ranked squad in school history, UCF defeated host UMass, 64-59, Wednesday in Amherst, Mass.
UCF is in impressive company among the remaining unbeaten teams. The other squads without a loss are Cincinnati (12-0), Connecticut (10-0), Duke (11-0), Kansas (11-0), Ohio State (12-0), San Diego State (14-0) and Syracuse (13-0).
The Knights will return to action on Dec. 29, hosting Furman at 7 p.m. at the UCF Arena to open the UCF Holiday Classic presented by EA Sports. The event will continue the following day, with the Knights facing either Northeastern or Princeton.
A special UCF-Conference USA ticket pack is now available. The pack allows fans to grab a lower level ticket to watch the Knights play their eight C-USA home games for only $96, offering a $24 savings over single-game prices. Packages are also available for $80 for upper level seating. To order the pack today, visit UCFAthletics.com or call (407) UCF-1000.
