ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After finishing filming in July, UCF women's tennis head coach Stephanie Nickitas is now appearing on the latest episode of Tennis Chanel Academy which is airing Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m. and Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. Nickitas joined former top-ranked WTA doubles player Gigi Fernandez at the Racquet Club at Heathrow to shoot the episode as Fernandez discusses doubles formations, strategies and tactics.

Fernandez won 17 Grand Slam doubles titles, 69 overall doubles crowns and two singles titles at the professional level. She is also the only Puerto Rican to win an Olympic gold medal, partnering with Mary Jo Fernandez to earn doubles gold in 1992 and 1996.

Nickitas is in her fourth season with the Knights in 2010-11, and is coming off a 13-7 campaign a year ago. She guided UCF to a fifth seed in the Conference USA Championship, which was its highest seed since joining the league in 2005-06.
