ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF students, help your school establish a student attendance record for the Conference USA Football Championship Game this Saturday at noon at Bright House Networks Stadium. UCF student admission is FREE to the game. Just bring your valid UCF student ID, which will be swiped at the gate for FREE seating in the UCF student section.

Students can also participate in the celebrated UCF Student Government Association tailgate party from 8-11:30 a.m. right outside the stadium on the North Lawn of IOA Plaza.

Don't miss being in the stands for a part of school history while you help cheer your nationally-ranked football team to victory against the rival SMU Mustangs, the C-USA West Division champion.

UCF will be looking to shatter its own C-USA student attendance record for the championship game with 10,276 showing up to the event in 2007. A total of 10,158 students were reported to have attended last year's championship game at East Carolina.

The Knights are ranked No. 25 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll on the strength of a 9-3 record in 2010 and 7-1 mark in C-USA play. In addition to a team which tops C-USA in four of the five major defensive categories (rushing, scoring, total and passing efficiency defense), the Knights have excelled as individuals as well. True freshman quarterback Jeff Godfrey stands eighth in the nation with his 164.79 efficiency rating and stands in the company of America's elite signal callers in this regard. Quincy McDuffie is third nationally in kickoff returns and, on the heels of a strong showing at Memphis, Josh Robinson has moved up to fifth nationally in punt returns.
