ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF supporters can get their first look at new head coach Donnie Jones' Knights Thursday when the UCF men's basketball team hosts Flagler for an exhibition contest at the UCF Arena. The game starts at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

Jones, a rising star in the coaching community, took the helm of the UCF program in March. Since coming to Orlando, he has added talented recruits and transfers, toured the state to gain support for the program and transitioned the Knights to an up-tempo style of play.

The Knights return some of the top players in Conference USA, including sophomore forward Keith Clanton (Orlando, Fla.). A C-USA All-Freshman Team selection a year ago, Clanton added 18 pounds of muscle during the offseason. Clanton, and seven other returning letterwinners, are joined by a large group of newcomers including senior center Tom Herzog (Flint, Mich.), who transferred from Michigan State, and freshman guard Isaiah Sykes (Detroit, Mich.).

The game versus Flagler will serve as UCF's only preseason contest. The squad will open the year on Nov. 12, hosting West Florida.

A Division II program, Flagler is coached by former UCF star Bo Clark. A member of the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame, Clark is the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,886 points. He played under his father, legendary head coach Torchy Clark, from 1975-80. Last year, his No. 23 jersey was retired inside the UCF Arena.

The UCF ticket sales staff will be on hand at the arena Thursday answering any questions fans might have about season ticket purchases. Season tickets, which start at just $96, include a free Knightmare t-shirt. The Knights are slated to play a school-record 17 games at the UCF Arena this year, and contests include showdowns with USF, Marshall, UAB and Memphis. To order your season tickets today, call (407) UCF-1000 or visit UCFAthletics.com.

Fans who already purchased season tickets can pickup their Knightmare t-shirt at the UCF Sports Marketing table in the arena lobby.

A video broadcast of the game against the Saints will be available on UCFAthletics.com. UCF student broadcasters Carson Ingle and Arthur Volpe will have the call of the contest. Live statistics will also be available on the web site.

Complimentary parking for the exhibition contest is available in Garage D across from the arena.
