ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The season is still young, but UCF's offensive numbers to start the 2010-11 campaign are still impressive to say the least. Just five games into the Donnie Jones era at UCF and the Knights already rank in the top-15 nationally in four offensive categories.

Jones has implemented an up-tempo offense, and his players are certainly executing. The Knights are averaging 85.8 points, good for 11th in the country. Jones' team has scored at least 80 points in four of five games this year. UCF ranks third nationally in field-goal percentage (55.4). During the squad's 84-48 victory over visiting Alabama State Saturday, the Knights shot 56.6 percent from the field.

UCF is connecting on 43.3 percent of its attempts from 3-point range, which ranks 15th in the nation. The Knights are also sharing the ball as the team is 10th in the country in assists per game (18.8).

UCF has a pair of games this week. On Wednesday, the Knights will face No. 14 Florida in the first collegiate game inside the new Amway Center in downtown Orlando. The team will then host Southeastern Louisiana Saturday at 5 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
