ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Head coach Courtney Trimble has made an impact in her second year for the UCF women's golf program including the addition of a highly touted signing class. Heather Proctor (Silver Springs, Fla.), Monifa Sealy (Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.), and Katie Mitchell (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) all signed letters of intent to compete for the Knights in the 2011-2012 season.

"We are extremely excited for these three young ladies to join our program here at UCF. We are confident that they will make an immediate impact for the team and I look for this to be one of the best recruiting classes not just in the state, but across the country. These ladies bring excellent experience and proven records against quality fields in elite tournaments all over the world," Trimble said.

Sealy heads the signing class for the black and gold, currently ranked No. 21 for the class of 2011 according to Golfweek. As a junior golfer, Sealy has claimed 29 championships, 52 top-five finishes, and 21 top-10 finishes including the 2010 IGJT Tournament of Champions. In October of 2010, Sealy competed in the prestigious World Amateur Team Championships representing Trinidad.

Proctor will join the Knights ranked No. 30 in the class of 2011 according to Golfweek. Proctor earned 2 top finishes this summer in American Junior Golf Association events along with a trip to the Round of 16 in the Women's Western Amateur. Participating for Lake Weir High School, Proctor helped her team win the district and advance to the regional championships for the first time in school history. Proctor finished in a tie for sixth place individually at the state championships.

Mitchell is ranked as the No. 101 golfer in the 2011 class according to Golfweek. As a senior at Fernandina Beach High School, Katie recorded a 12-1 match record on her way to leading the team to the District Championship. Katie competed at the FHSAA state finals and earned All-District and All-Region honors. Mitchell is also the current champion of 2 Southeastern Junior Golf Tour Events. . The Knights will open their spring season January 29, when they host the Kent State in a dual match at RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla.
