When UCF (7-3, 5-1) has the ball:

The Knights' offense moved the ball effortlessly on its first two possessions, but became stagnant throughout the rest of the game, falling to Southern Miss 31-21 at Bright House Networks Stadium on Nov. 13. Jeff Godfrey finished the game 16-of-25 passing for 190 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Golden Eagles, while also rushing for a touchdown. Ronnie Weaver set the tone early, rushing for 107 yards on his first seven carries, but could only muster five more yards for the rest of the game, totaling 112 yards. Receivers Jamar Newsome and Brian Watters combined for 144 receiving yards and both found the back of the end zone, but the turning point in the game came on a missed 30-yard field goal attempt by Jaime Boyle. After Boyle's missed field goal, which would have put USM ahead by only seven points, USM quarterback Austin Davis drove USM down the field connecting with Kelvin Bolden on a 26-yard touchdown pass putting the game out of reach for the Knights. UCF's offense which is averaging a healthy 197.2 rushing yards a game, ranks 23rd in the nation, and it will be facing a Tulane defense that is giving up an average of 197.3 rushing yards a game. Tulane was able to pull off a 54-49 thriller over Rice last week which included a defensive effort from the Green Wave on the last possession of the game, keeping the Owls out of the end zone to hold on for the win.

When Tulane (4-6, 2-4) has the ball:

Tulane quarterback Ryan Griffin completed 21-of-34 passing for 314 yards and three touchdowns, powering the Green Wave to a 54-49 victory over the Rice Owls last week. Freshman tailback Orleans Darkwa was consistent against the Owls, rushing 26 times for 113 yards and also completing 2-of-2 passes for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Wideout Ryan Grant had a career day after recording three catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns, but receiver Cody Sparks gives the Green Wave their best chance of finding the end zone after doing so four times in his last three performances. UCF's defense, which gave up 414 total yards of offense against USM, will look to right the ship against the Green Wave. The Knights' defense is giving up an average of 318.5 yards of total offense a game and needs a solid performance against the Green Wave if UCF wants to solidify its spot in the C-USA conference championship.

Did you know?

UCF 7-3 (5-1) still sits atop the East Division of C-USA, and needs to win out against Tulane and Memphis to earn a spot in the C-USA Championship Game. If the Knights can manage to win its final two games against the Green Wave and the Tigers, UCF will not only be in the C-USA Championship Game, but will play host for the third time in five years...It can clinch the division this weekend with a win over Tulane and losses by East Carolina and Southern Miss...UCF has scored a touchdown on its first possession in four of the last five games...The Knights are averaging just 3.6 penalties per game in their seven victories, but 7.0 penalties in their three defeats.
