ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a successful first day of the UCF Fall Tournament, the UCF women's tennis team took on No. 22 Arkansas in singles and came away with three singles victories Saturday. The Knights also secured a win on the doubles courts against Missouri.

"We battled Arkansas pretty hard. They are definitely a strong team but I thought we were right there with them," said head coach Stephanie Nickitas. "I was happy with singles today because it was a good turnaround from doubles. We came out a little bit flat in doubles and we played passive. What we want to focus on is coming out and playing aggressive in doubles."

Day two of the tournament started with doubles play, where Taylor Dubins and Jenna Doerfler picked up a 9-7 win over Missouri's Rachel Stuhlmann and Annemijn Koenen.

When singles got rolling vs. Arkansas, Genevieve Lorbergs was the first Knight to earn a win, taking down Jade Frampton, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Alexis Rodriguez then produced a singles victory by way of a tight 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 triumph against Emily Carbone. And Josephine Haraldson started late but made quick work of Alex Siegel, 6-1, 6-1.

The UCF Fall Tournament will come to a close Sunday when the Knights face Purdue in doubles beginning at 9 a.m. They also will battle Missouri in singles when doubles wraps up.
