ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Junior Spencer Scott's (Palm City, Fla.) third game-winning goal of the season Saturday night against No. 5 SMU earned the UCF midfielder Conference USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors. He was also named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for his efforts against the Mustangs, while sharing the C-USA honor with Bradlee Baladez of South Carolina.

Scott earned the recognitions after scoring the game-winning goal against SMU Saturday night to help his team to its first ever victory over a top 10 opponent.

The third-year Knight picked up a pass from A.J. Nelson (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) at midfield and moved in on goal. Firing a hard shot to the top right corner from 20 yards out, Scott gave his team the one-goal lead that would stand for the remaining 25 minutes.

All three of Scott's goals this season have been game winners. In the season opener, Scott netted the first goal of the year for the Knights as they would go on to beat Jacksonville, 5-0. Against the Blackbirds of Long Island, his goal in the 15th minute stood as the game winner with UCF hanging on for the 2-0 win.

The Knights return to action tomorrow night when they host FIU at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex. The game will be shown live on the Bright House Sports Network.
