Delinks Posts Comeback Win at ITAs

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Three members of the UCF men's tennis team were in action Friday when the Knights began play at the ITA Southeast Regional on the Florida campus. Junior Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) posted a comeback victory in his singles match.

Facing Alexander Hackett of Stetson in the singles round of 64, Delinks rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 win. He will now face Georgia's Will Spencer in the round of 32 Saturday morning.

UCF senior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) and junior Claudio Romano (Valencia, Venezuela) dropped their matches in the round of 64. Both Knights will have consolation matches Saturday.

In doubles action, Schwartz and Delinks came up short in their round of 32 contest. Georgia's Garrett Brasseaux and Campbell Johnson held on for an 8-4 win over the Knights.
