ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF men's basketball head coach Donnie Jones, who is in his first campaign with the Knights, recently launched a blog on UCFAthletics.com that will help fans gain insight into his program. The head coach plans to update "On the Run with Donnie Jones" several times per week.
Jones' first blog entry details the progress that his team has made since opening practice last Friday.
The new-look Knights are working in preparation for the 2010-11 season, which will open on Nov. 12 with a home contest against West Florida. UCF is slated to play 17 games at the UCF Arena this year. Season tickets, which start at just $96 and include a free Knightmare t-shirt, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
On Saturday, fans can get a sneak peek at the Knights during UCF Basketball Postgame Madness. The free event will be held inside the UCF Arena following the conclusion of the UCF-Rice football game on campus. Postgame madness includes a scrimmage and autograph session. The UCF Athletics Ticket Sales Office will also be on hand at the arena for a select-a-seat event.
