ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's cheerleaders and mascot Knightro will be taking part in one of the most publicized events of the year as they will head to NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center for Space Shuttle Discovery's final launch Nov. 1.
The Knights will participate in a nationwide web case with elementary school children from across the United States. They will be answering questions live before the launch, which is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. ET.
Damon Tally, host of NASA's Digital Learning Network, along with co-host Rachel Power, will be live for the launch of STS-133. The Shuttle Mission of Discovery will carry Robonaut 2, the Permanent Multipurpose Module, and the Express Logistics Carrier 4 to the International Space Station. STS-133 will be the 35th shuttle mission to the station.
