ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With fall camp coming to a close this week, the UCF baseball team conducted its draft to determine teams for the annual Black and Gold World Series. The three-game intrasquad event will cap off fall practices, and will begin Wednesday with first pitch at 3:30 p.m. Admission to all fans is free.

Game two of the series is scheduled for Thursday at 3:30 p.m., while the finale will take place Friday at 6 p.m. If the first two games are split, then the winner of the third game will be declared the champion. However if one team wins the first two contests, the team that is 0-2 can still win the title by winning game three by an amount of runs that is greater than the sum of the run differential of the first two games.

All three games will be six innings, and each team will bat eight players if possible.

"We're definitely looking forward to the Black and Gold World Series and seeing our guys compete as a team as well as individually to try and earn a position," said third-year head coach Terry Rooney. "Overall I feel like our fall has gone very well. I think the majority of our returning players have come back better and all of the newcomers we brought in are challenging for spots. These last three games are going to have a lot to do with my final impression of the fall.

"The fall is designed to evaluate and implement our system so we will be able to put the best nine guys on the field. At the end of the fall we will have a pretty accurate assessment of each player, and a tentative idea of who are starting players will be."

While the grounds crew was busy carving "1430" into foul territory and the UCF logo behind home plate, assistant coaches Jeff Palumbo and Brandon Romans met to determine their teams Tuesday, and here are the rosters they will be using for the series:
