UCF Wraps Up Its First Fall Tournament at Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The third and final day of the Miami Fall Invitational came to a close Sunday as the UCF women's tennis team capped off its first fall tournament against South Florida in singles play and against Miami in doubles action. The Knights picked up three victories over the Bulls, including two wins in three-set affairs.

Collecting her first-collegiate singles win, freshman Josephine Haraldson cruised through her first set before needing a tiebreaker to defeat USF's Allesandra Bonte Ale, 6-0, 7-6(5). Meanwhile, Taylor Dubins and Jenna Doerfler both dropped their first sets before fighting back to earn wins. Dubins finished her weekend by going 2-0 in singles for the Black and Gold.

The Knights will now look forward to hosting its first of two fall tournaments Oct. 8-11, however Jenny Frisell will take her game to the ITA/Riviera All-American Championships starting Oct. 2 in California.
