ATHENS, Ga. (UCFAthletics.com) - Senior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) and junior Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) of the UCF men's tennis team saw their run in doubles play end Sunday evening at the Southern Intercollegiates. The pair advanced to the quarterfinals of the top doubles draw at the tournament.
On Sunday, Delinks and Schwartz faced the event's sixth seed, Will Spencer and Drake Bernstein of host Georgia. Spencer and Bernstein posted an 8-3 victory.
Play began at the tournament on Friday. Delinks and Schwartz went 2-1 at the event.
"Blaze and Joe played well. They had two good wins," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "They were pretty solid. They had a tough one today against a good team indoors. But overall we are getting better."
UCF sophomore Mario Samson (Miami, Fla.) was slated to play a consolation singles match Sunday, but the contest was cancelled.
The event served as UCF's second tournament of the fall campaign.
