ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Thursday, UCF men's basketball head coach Donnie Jones will share his thoughts on his team to a large crowd at the Central Florida Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association bi-monthly luncheon at the Radisson Hotel Orlando-UCF. Jones is in his first year as UCF's head coach.
The Central Florida Chapter of the NDIA has about 4,500 members. The group's luncheons include guest speakers from local businesses, as well as guest speakers from the defense sector.
Last year, UCF football head coach George O'Leary was a guest speaker at an NDIA luncheon. The NDIA gives out a number of academic scholarships and also supports troops with proceeds from various events.
Jones was named UCF's head coach in late March. His Knights will open the 2010-11 campaign on Nov. 12, hosting West Florida at the UCF Arena. UCF will play 17 home games during the year.
Season tickets, which start at just $96 and include a complimentary Knightmare t-shirt, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
