GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team concluded action at the Gator Invitational Sunday in strong fashion. The Knights picked up three singles victories, and also won both of their doubles contests at the Ring Tennis Complex.

"We played well. We ended strong," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "Doubles were terrific. We also competed very well in singles."

Cashman's top doubles team, senior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) and junior Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) rolled to an 8-2 victory over Marc Abdelnour and Daniel Vardag of Florida Atlantic. Junior Eugene Dolgovykh (Palm Coast, Fla.) and freshman Matthew Zachary (Bossier City, La.) also picked up a doubles win. The pair topped Moritz Buerchner and Buergard Treyz of North Florida, 8-5.

In singles action, Zachary, Dolgovykh and freshman Matthew Gladstone (Surfside, Fla.) all recorded victories. Zachary rallied to top Vardag (3-6, 7-5, 6-4).
