ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team is set to conclude its non-conference slate when it participates in the Chattanooga Classic this weekend. The Knights will take James Madison Friday at 5 p.m., before wrapping up play in the tournament Saturday with matches against Chattanooga and Belmont at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.

The Black and Gold enter the Chattanooga Classic with a 7-2 record on the season after posting a 1-2 record while hosting the Courtyard by Marriott/UCF Classic at The Venue at UCF last weekend.

UCF is led offensively by junior Kristin Fisher (Clearwater, Fla.) who currently ranks No. 13 nationally with a 4.55 kills-per-set average. Defensively, sophomore libero Meredith Murphy (Austin, Texas) paces the Black and Gold with 131 digs and a 4.23 digs-per-set average.

James Madison enters the Chattanooga Classic with a 7-3 overall record after posting three-consecutive shutouts against Loyola, Delaware State and Lehigh last weekend while hosting the JMU Invitational, before falling to Liberty Tuesday on the road. The Knights and the Dukes are even, 1-1, in the all-time series, with their last meeting coming in 994.

Chattanooga has struggled early in the season, coming into the weekend with 3-8 record on the year. Last weekend, the Mocs posted a 2-2 record at the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville, defeating Illinois Chicago and Troy and falling to North Florida and Charleston Southern. The Black and Gold is a perfect 4-0 all-time vs. Chattanooga.

The Knights conclude the weekend Saturday afternoon against a Belmont team that travels to Tennessee with a 4-8 overall record after falling to Lipscomb Tuesday at home. During the season, the Bruins have posted wins over Miami, JSU, Weber State and Connecticut. UCF holds a flawless 4-0 record in the all-time series vs. Belmont.
