ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After Connor Arendell picked up his first career collegiate victory at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind., the junior has now been named the Bright House Student-Athlete of the Week.

Arendell concluded the three-round tournament at 5-under 208. He shot under par in all three rounds of the tournament. He began the event with a pair of 2-under 69s and then carded a 70 (-1) on the final 18. Arendell became the first Knight since April 2009 to win an event championship.

Arendell's strong performance helped lead the Knights to a second place tie in the season-opening event. The Black and Gold will now travel to Middletown, R.I., to compete in the Adam's Cup of Newport Sept. 20-21.
