ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the second-straight week, the UCF women's soccer team will host a school that advanced to the 2009 NCAA Tournament Second Round, as the Black and Gold will take on San Diego State Friday at 7 p.m. Admission to the UCF Soccer Complex is free.

The Knights (0-1-0) are coming off a 2-0 loss to No. 11 Florida in front of a school-record crowd of 2,141 fans Aug. 22. They took 13 shots overall with five on goal against the Gators, and UCF led in corner kicks, 6-3. A total of five newcomers saw time in the match.

For San Diego State, it opened up its season with a 1-0 loss at No. 9 Santa Clara before defeating Sacramento State on the road, 2-1. Combined in those two outings, SDSU was outshot 21-10 but keeper Aubree Southwick amassed eight saves in goal. The Aztecs went 15-4-5 in 2009 and had an RPI of No. 29.

After its match against SDSU, UCF will look forward to its first road game, a Sept. 3 affair at South Florida at 7 p.m. The Knights will then be home to face VCU Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
