ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - As excitement for the upcoming volleyball season continues to mount, fans and media members will be able to catch their first glimpse of the 2010 UCF volleyball squad Saturday, Aug. 21, during the Knights' Fan and Media Day, held in conjunction with the annual Black and Gold Scrimmage.
The event will kick off at 12 p.m. on the third floor of The Venue at UCF, where attendees will be able to share in a free lunch with members of the team, third-year head coach Todd Dagenais and his staff.
Following lunch, Dagenais will hold a press conference which will begin around 12:30 p.m. Players will be available to speak with members of the media directly following the press conference.
Fans and media members are then encouraged to stay and attend the team's third annual Black and Gold Scrimmage which is scheduled for 2 p.m. The intra-squad match will allow anxious Knights fans to get a sneak-peak at the 2010 team and will also serve as the finale to UCF's preseason training camp.
There is no charge to attend the event and free parking is available in parking garage F, located behind The Venue at UCF. Fans wanting to attend Fan Day must RSVP to Student Director of Volleyball Operations Katie Duggan by email at kduggan@athletics.ucf.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday to reserve a seat to eat lunch with their favorite volleyball team.
