ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF linemen Bruce Miller and Jah Reid spent Tuesday evening doing something that fits them well besides just playing football - being positive role models.
Miller and Reid headed to the field behind Timber Lakes Elementary School and visited with the East Orlando Saints Mitey Mites and Bobbleheads of the CFYFL (Central Florida Youth Football League), teams ranging in age from kindergarten to fourth grade, during one of their preseason conditioning days.
Miller and Reid relayed the importance of the offseason conditioning to the kids and also talked about the importance of education and stressed how much fun it is to play football. They took several fun questions from the kids about football and UCF and went to help out with their drills afterwards. The event was set up through UCF Athletics' Knights P.R.I.D.E. program which gets UCF's student-athletes involved in the community and prepared for personal and professional success after college.
The Knights themselves are wrapping up their summer conditioning as they prepare for the start of preseason practice on August 5.
