ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF cross country team announced its 2010 schedule on Tuesday, and the team's schedule will include two home meets at the UCF Cross Country Complex. The team will open the season with the Black & Gold Challenge on their home course on Sept. 10.
UCF won both of its home meets in 2009, its third and fourth victories of the past two seasons. Graduated senior Jamie Rzepecki led the Knights to wins in both home meets a season ago.
After the Black & Gold Challenge, UCF will compete at the Mountain Dew Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., on Sept. 17 before hosting its second meet - the UCF Invitational - on Sept. 24.
The FLRunners.com Invitational will follow the following week in nearby Titusville on Oct. 1. The Knights took second in the event a season ago after taking the title in 2008. The team's schedule will conclude with three more meets in the state of Florida, including the Disney Cross Country Classic (Oct. 9), the Hatter Invitational (Oct. 16) and the Florida Southern Invitational (Oct. 23).
The 2010 Conference USA Championships will be held at Indian Springs Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., on Nov. 1. UCF finished ninth at the event a season ago.
