ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Competing in his home state, sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) of the UCF men's golf team registered a strong performance over the weekend, tying for eighth at the Rosauers Invitational at the Indian Canyon Golf Club in Spokane. The three-round event featured 93 golfers, many of them professionals.

Martin had the third-best showing of any amateur at the tournament, finishing at 8-under 205. During Sunday's final round, he carded a 2-under 69.

In 2009-10, Martin competed in seven events for the Knights, and was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. His best showing came in March at the Rio Pinar Invitational, where he tied for sixth as UCF won the team title in Orlando.
