ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) of the UCF men's golf team concluded play at the prestigious Dogwood Invitational Saturday in Atlanta by tying for third. The junior finished the event at the Druid Hills Golf Club at 15-under 273.

The tournament has been recognized as one of the top amateur events in the country.

Stanford's Andrew Yun took medalist honors at 20-under 268. He was followed by Georgia Tech's Anders Albertson at 269 (-19). Arendell tied with Georgia's Bryden McPherson. During the final round, Arendell carded a 68 (-4).

In 2009-10, Arendell appeared in all 12 tournaments for the Knights. His best performance came at the Conference USA Championship in nearby Sorrento. He tied for second at 2-under 214, helping UCF take the conference crown for the second-straight year. Arendell was in his first campaign in Orlando after transferring from Louisville.
