ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF will host North Carolina State for the second game of the 2010 season at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11. It is the fifth consecutive year that UCF has played host to a school from an automatic qualifying BCS conference, a treat that only East Carolina and Memphis has matched for its hometown fans annually from 2006-10 amongst C-USA schools.

Last year, under fourth-year head coach Tom O'Brien, NC State had a promising 3-1 start beating a strong Pittsburgh team. The Wolfpack finished its season 5-7 with a strong statement win, beating in-state rival No. 23 North Carolina in a thrilling one-point victory.

Offensive Player to Watch
In his third year Russell Wilson looks to lead his team to its first winning season during his tenure. Wilson passed for over 3,000 yards and 31 touchdowns last season. Wilson finished with the second highest QB rating and fourth in total passing yards in the ACC last season.

Defensive Player to Watch
Redshirt junior Audie Cole led his defense last year with 85 tackles. Cole finished second on the team with four sacks, had one forced fumble and four pass break ups. Cole looks to expand on his second campaign at linebacker and establish himself as one of the premier players in the ACC.

A Historic Win
Three years removed from UCF's first victory over an ACC school, North Carolina State heads down to Orlando, Fla. looking to even the score. Last time these two teams met, opening the 2007 season in Raleigh, Kevin Smith ran wild gaining 217 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This victory propelled the Knights to a historic season, earning their first ever Conference USA championship and second bowl game berth.
