ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The Yahoo! Sports college football preview magazine hit the newsstands today and it is just the latest in a steady stream of national voices which have projected good things for UCF in 2010.
Yahoo! has placed the Knights at No. 51 in the nation, first in the Conference USA East Division and second in the league as a whole behind only a Houston team that UCF beat 37-32 last fall. The annual publication projects the Knights to return to the Hawaii Bowl, the site of UCF's first ever bowl appearance in 2005. Not surprisingly based on its projections, Yahoo! ranks UCF's Nov. 5 contest at Houston as the game of the year for C-USA. That ESPN-televised affair will feature the 2009 C-USA Most Valuable Player in Houston quarterback Case Keenum and the league's 2009 Defensive Player of the Year, UCF's Bruce Miller.
A preseason All-American and candidate for the Lombardi and Nagurski Trophies, Miller is one of three Knights who appear on Yahoo!'s preseason All-Conference USA squad, alongside tailback Brynn Harvey and corner back Josh Robinson, a first-team freshman All-American in 2009.
Signs are pointing towards a great and fun-filled 2010 season for UCF so get on board now!
