ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - TennisRecruiting.net recently featured the top men's tennis recruiting classes in the nation and UCF received plenty of attention. Head coach Bobby Cashman's three-player class garnered a pair of accolades.
The web site listed the group, which consists of Matthew Zachary, Matthew Gladstone and Leonel Vivas, as the fifth-best mid-major class in the nation.
Tennisrecruiting.net also ranked UCF's class as the 26th-best overall in the country.
Zachary, who hails from Bossier City, La., is listed as a five-star recruit. He is currently ranked as the 66th-best senior in the nation. Gladstone hails from Miami Beach and is rated as the 21st-best senior in Florida. Vivas is a native of Venezuela.
Cashman's Knights recently completed a stellar 2010 spring campaign. Despite a tough schedule that included matches against eight-nationally ranked teams, UCF posted a 12-8 mark and closed the year by winning three of its final four contests.
