ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Former UCF defensive back Travis Fisher was signed to a free agent deal yesterday by the Baltimore Ravens, his fourth different team in a nine-year NFL career. He was one of a Conference USA-leading 15 Knights on NFL opening day rosters last fall.

Fisher spent 2009 with the Seattle Seahawks. Originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the second round in 2003, Fisher played in 56 games for the team through the 2007 season. Fisher played for the Detroit Lions in 2007 and 2008 before moving westward to Seattle. Overall, Fisher is a veteran of 90 NFL contests and has made 341 tackles with 39 passes defended and nine interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. Both of those returns came in 2003 when he tied for the NFL lead in interception return yards with 205.

At UCF, Fisher played in 33 games and amassed 130 career tackles. In his sophomore and junior campaigns at UCF, Fisher combined for 11 pass break ups to go along with two interceptions. His senior year, Fisher recorded a career-high 61 tackles and two interceptions. He also broke up 11 passes for the second consecutive season. Prior to UCF, he attended Tallahassee's Godby High School and then went to Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.

Fisher is just the latest NFL Knight to change uniforms this offseason. The most noteworthy of these changes has been wide receiver Brandon Marshall, a restricted free agent who was traded to the Miami Dolphins and proceeded to sign the richest contract in league history for a wide receiver. Cornell Green signed a three-year free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills, the same team that later selected Torell Troup early in the second round of April's draft. Michael Gaines also recently traded in a Cleveland Browns uniform for one of the Houston Texans while Darcy Johnson is now in St. Louis, joining his UCF teammate Leger Douzable with the Rams.
