ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - After a delay due to inclement weather, the Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set to resume at 8:25 p.m. at the UCF Track & Field Complex.
Just before the delay, UCF scored 25 points in the 100-meter hurdles with athletes finishing first, second, third and eighth. Sophomore Jackie Coward (Knoxville, Tenn.) won the event with a staggering time of 12.99. Teammates Tiki James (Miami, Fla.) finished in second (13.19) while Micaela Wimberly (Miami, Fla.) edged UAB's Timara McMillan at the line to take third.
UCF sits in third place after 12 events have been scored with 59.50 points, just a half point behind Rice (60). UTEP sits in first with 66 points. Houston holds a 19-point lead in the men's standings after 12 events.
