UCF head football coach George O'Leary will appear live on 790 The Zone in Atlanta this afternoon on "The Pollack and Bell Show" to talk some UCF football and help promote the Knights Tour stop tomorrow night at the FOX Sports Grill in Atlantic Station.
Fans can listen in live online at 4:25 p.m. The Knights' connection to Georgia is a deep one as 10 members of UCF's current two-deep are Georgia natives, many of them from metro-Atlanta. Additionally, five of UCF's 2010 signing class are Georgians and, amongst the team's 2009 seniors, was Conyers' Torell Troup who was an early second round pick of the Buffalo Bills.
The appearance is to help promote the Knights Tour stop tomorrow from 6-8 p.m. It marks the second consecutive year that the tour has made this rare out-of-state stop.
On the tour, alumni, students and fans are encouraged to attend, enjoy an evening of fun and excitement with several members of the UCF Athletics coaching staff from a variety of teams. Each stop, including Atlanta, features quality time to mix and mingle with coaches, dine on complimentary appetizers, partake in fun raffles, receive great giveaways, watch action-packed highlight videos and receive the latest 2010 UCF football schedule poster and schedule cards.
The Atlanta stop of 2010 will feature a Q&A session with Director of Athletics Keith Tribble along with head football coach George O'Leary and always-entertaining UCF volleyball coach Todd Dagenais. An autograph session with the coaches is also a part of the event.
Admission is free. To attend, please RSVP to Misty Knight at 407-823-2086 or via e-mail at goldenknightsclub@athletics.ucf.edu. Please include your name, phone number, number attending in your party and event location.
Representatives from UCF's Golden Knights Club (GKC), alumni association and athletics ticket sales staff will be on site to answer questions on how fans can become a part of the team behind the team.
The Knights Tour has one more local stop as UCF will take over Winter Park on Sat., May 22 with an outdoor event from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Central Park.
