ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Central Florida Fastpitch Camps announced Tuesday that registration for its summer softball camps is now open. CFFC will conduct three different camps during the month of June and will team up with the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league, including current and former Olympians, for its OverKnight Camp slated for June 13-16.
The OverKnight Camp is the first offered in the summer-camp series, with campers ages 8-18 being instructed by some of the best athletes to play the game at the UCF Softball Complex. Besides members of the Pride, the three-day event will also feature instruction from current and former UCF softball players and members of the Knights' coaching staff.
The camp will focus on intensive instruction in the areas of hitting, infield and outfield positions, pitching, catching, base running and game play. Besides learning the game of softball, campers will also have the opportunity to explore campus, learn about strength and conditioning, utilize CFFC's video analysis system and get to know the UCF softball players and coaching staff. Campers will be divided so that their instruction focuses on their age and ability level, with a discount being offered to teams that register 10 or more players for the OverKnight Camp.
A photograph and autograph session will be held following each visit from a member of the USSSA Pride.
Following CFFC's main summer event, it will also hold a two-day pitchers/catchers camp on June 21-22, and a two-day hitting camp on June 23-24.
For campers who would like to participate in all three summer camps, Central Florida Fastpitch Camps will be offering its Three-Camp Package Deal, which will offer a $50 discount for its most dedicated campers.
