UCF is ready to spring back into action after taking the past weekend off. The Knights will return to Gainesville this weekend after a promising meet at the Pepsi Florida Relays, the third outdoor event of the season.

The meet featured many highlights for the Knights, including four personal records by mid-distance and distance runners. Junior Carley Dart (Whitby, Ontario) topped her personal best in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:09.83, her first sub-2:10 time of her career in the event. Jamie Rzepecki (East Aurora, N.Y.), a senior, posted a time of 11:02.66 in the 3,000-meter steeple, besting her personal best from a season ago.

In the 5,000-meter run, senior Erica Weitz (Morganville, N.J.) and junior Ocean Cohen (Sarasota, Fla.) each ran sub-18:00 times for the first time. Weitz took 13 seconds off her best time and finished in 17:52.96. Cohen crossed the line in 17:57.14, nearly 23 seconds better than her previous personal best.

Another notable result is the one of the 1600-meter sprint medley team composed of Sheila Paul (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.), Champelle Brown (Oakland, Calif.), Aisha-Maree Frazier (Marietta, Ga.) and Carley Dart who finished in second place with a time of 3:53.68, just a half-second off the school record.
