ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Thursday, UCF men's basketball head coach Donnie Jones will be heading to Seminole County to talk to members of Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce at their monthly luncheon. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Tuscawilla Country Club.
Jones has been busy since taking over the helm of the Knights' program in late March. He has spent time getting to know his new players, assembling his staff and recruiting. The head coach has also spent ample time fulfilling media requests. Jones, who spent the last three campaigns at Marshall, is no stranger to the Sunshine State, having spent 11 campaigns as an assistant coach at Florida.
The event in Seminole County will serve as his first public speaking engagement as UCF's head coach.
The UCF ticket sales office is currently accepting season-ticket deposits for the 2010-11 campaign at (407) UCF-1000 or online at UCFAthletics.com. By placing their deposit now, fans will receive a free 2010-11 NIKE Knightmare t-shirt with their ticket purchase. Season tickets start at just $99.
