WASHINGTON, D.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF women's rowing finished the George Washington Invitational with six victories on Saturday. The Knights totaled eight wins for the two day regatta.
The Knights began the morning session with a win over Navy in the novice 8+ race. The Black and Gold finished in 6:49.3 to the Navy's 7:03.7. The varsity four squad defeated Navy by .4 seconds, coming in 6:59.5. The Knight's second varsity eight boat came in at 6:22.6, just slightly ahead Navy's 6:23.7. The varsity eight boat finished with a time of 6:15.7 while Navy trailed behind, finishing in 6:18.5
UCF concluded the regatta with two more wins against St. Joseph's. The Knights' varsity 4+ boat pushed ahead of the Hawks and finished 7:08.27. The second varsity 8+ squad clocked in at 6:26.4, almost five seconds before St. Joseph's who came in 6:31.0.
The Knights will be back in action, racing at home on May 1 against Alabama.
